Also, I would like to say one great and one BIG thank you for your knowledge and successful effort to help me. Sincerely and frankly speaking, my trip in California was the best investment in my life. As Dr. Leonti Thompson said, Provigil (Modafinil, Modasomil) is really a miracle drug. After taking 200 mg for several months, I feel so good, sometimes like in my best period of life, when I was 18 yrs old. As suggested in Books of Dr. Amen, I combine it with low dose of Wellbutrin (Zyban), to reduce depressive symptoms, social isolation and to enhance friendliness with people. It works excellent. Also, as suggested, I take high doses of fish oil, supplements and I ride bicycle at least 50 miles per weak. …Yesterday some of my friends told me – we haven’t seen you in so good mood for years, you are again our Old Friend, whom we used to know lot of years ago.

I just wanted you to know that I am so very grateful for your help for my son Kirkland McCullough (the one you said, "His brain is sooo abnormal!) whom you used his scan during our 5 day seminar in Reston, VA this past December.
I was able to get him out of the hospital in KY last month and was able to work with his local Psychiatrist here in IL to make the medication changes that you had suggested and it has been an unbelievable Miracle! Do the words enlightenment and brain scan belong in the same sentence? I truly believe I have been given a gift. Thank you for providing the answers to questions that plagued every important moment of my life. I’ve never felt so hopeful and confident that answers do exist.
After 30 years of psychotherapy, general practitioners, psychiatrists, self-help books and over $100,000 spent, I wouldn’t trust my brain or my children’s brains to anyone except The Amen Clinic.
I found the Fairfield clinic two years ago and it just makes perfect sense compared to everything else I’d been through. I think that the ADD discovered by The Amen Clinic was likely the underlying problem to begin with - something simple to treat if done properly early on. But instead, so many years of different medications and theories and guessing, and then a more complex mix of things by the time I had my scan and evaluation.
“My son had been in therapy for many years and I reluctantly agreed for him to take even a single medication. I was somewhat surprised to see that he had improved shortly after taking the medication, but then he made a turn for the worse. The therapist assured me it was a temporary adjustment but the adjustment became worse, then it became horrible. He began cursing, lying, even ran away. When this occurred, we started seeing a psychiatrist in addition to the psychologist. The psychiatrist wanted him to take several medications and see how it worked out. The psychiatrist felt that the medication he had previously been prescribed was the wrong medication. Again, I reluctantly agreed. Again, I was surprised to see improvement, again, a turn for the worse. By this time my son was seeing a psychiatrist, 2 psychologists and taking several medications. The psychologist then ordered test but the results were not what we expected, nor were they reliable. We had the other psychologist run the same tests, yet received completely different results. We were still having problems and it had gotten to the point that we were considering sending our child to boarding school. In desperation, I asked our psychiatrist what to do, regardless of cost or distance involved. He recommended that we go to the Amen Clinics. Two scans later, removing one medication and adding another, I have my son back and no turn for the worse. Before I thought that psychiatry and the medication associated was voodoo science at best. With the scans we received from Amen, our son’s doctor is now able to prescribe medication based on a specific problem instead of guess work.” –Father of pre-teen male

“I first met Tina when she was 7 years old. A beautiful little girl with huge problems: severe learning disabilities, ADHD, arthritis and mood swings. Pain, panic and sadness were her constant companions, and her parents were at wits end. My first action before starting psychotherapeutic interventions was to order a SPECT scan.
